  • Visited in December 2025. South Africa ???????? Cape Town. This small café is located in the area where we were staying, and since we love Turkish cuisine, we decided to stop by. The interior reflects a classic “Turkish chic” style, with blue tones, ornamental details, and floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. The atmosphere is bright, cozy, and inviting. FOOD: This is a Turkish restaurant offering a wide range of traditional dishes. We came with a clear goal in mind — lentil soup. The soup was rich and comforting, though it lacked a bit of spice and character, leaning more toward a mild pea soup than a bold lentil one. Still enjoyable, just not very expressive. Next, we ordered lahmacun, which is one of my all-time favorite dishes. We asked to double the filling (with an extra charge), and the staff kindly agreed. The lahmacun was tasty and generously topped, but personally, I would have preferred the flatbread to be thinner and crispier. I love the contrast between a crunchy base and a juicy topping, which was slightly missing here. That said, it was still very good — especially when topped with crunchy vegetables, lemon juice, and rolled up like a wrap. The real star of our meal was the hummus. It was perfectly made — silky smooth, airy, with an excellent balance of acidity and creaminess. Easily one of the best hummus dishes I’ve ever had. SERVICE: Service was friendly and welcoming, as expected. However, it could have been a bit more efficient — for example, clearing used plates sooner. Still, the overall attitude was warm and pleasant. VERDICT: A solid Turkish restaurant with a nice atmosphere. While not all flavors felt fully authentic, the food was enjoyable and satisfying. If you’re craving Middle Eastern cuisine, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

  • Amazing food. Absolutely devine. However, service charge of 10% for two people that does NOT go to the waiter is actually quite disheartening. I quote “The service fee goes to the company and anything above that goes to the waiter”.

  • EatStanbul ticked all the boxes. From the atmosphere to the food and service. An absolute culinary delight. Our meats were tender and flavourful and the breads and dips were made with the freshest ingredients! Our server was patient and knowledgeable and really went out of her way to make our experience unforgettable. We were never rushed but attended to with grace making our experience pure bliss Parking may be a bit tricky as the restaurant is situated on a very busy road, but don't be disheartened. The ambience and flavors make up for it! You simply have to give it a try.

  • Had an amazing meal at Eatstanbul, everything was absolutely delicious. We started with the falafel and the aubergine and tomato starter, followed by the chicken and mushroom flatbread and a mixed grill. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. I especially loved the fresh salads that came with the meal, so fresh and well-balanced. You will be seeing me again

  • Popped into EatStanbul with the family after spending Christmas afternoon on Sea Point Promenade. The restaurant was fairly full but had space for 5 of us. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It took about 15 minutes after we ordered that our food arrived, super fast considering they where busy. The food portions was large and you could easily feed 2 to 3 people from portion. The food was tasty and delicious and value for your money . The mocktails, milkshakes and mojitos was akso delicious. Our overall experience was fantastic and will definately be back again. A big thumbs up to the staff and chef.
